The Tourism Awareness Program run by the Ashok Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management (AIH&TM), ITDC was organized after identifying the need for soft skills training for taxi/coach drivers, as they are the first interface for tourists arriving at airports. , stations, etc. The training program has been designed very professionally and is flexible in nature, keeping in mind the daily salary/earnings pattern of the drivers. Spread over 16 hours, it focuses on imparting knowledge on behavioral and soft skills, personal hygiene and grooming, basic knowledge of foreign languages, administering first aid, etc. allowing drivers to serve tourists.
