Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha distributes iftar meal boxes to taxi drivers

The distribution of Iftar meals is part of Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha’s Global Month of Service initiative.

Doha: In keeping with its Global Service Month initiative and in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha has distributed Iftar meal boxes to local taxi drivers.

More than 20 associates volunteered and came together to enthusiastically participate in the initiative. The team from various hotel departments have volunteered between packaging and distribution to give back to the community they call home. Each Iftar box contained refreshments, fruit and a hot meal. Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha General Manager Julien Gonzalvez said, “Caring for our communities is at the heart of our purpose to care for people so they can perform at their best. Ramadan is a month of giving and sharing our blessings with our community. This initiative is in line with our company’s values ​​of compassion and generosity as enshrined in our Global Month of Service (GMOS).”

GMOS enables associates/colleagues to plan volunteer events that help strengthen local communities, in line with our World of Care commitments to care for people, the planet and responsible business. This year, Global Service Month (GMOS) started in April and will continue until the end of September.
